Job Description
- Support and mentor the maintenance team: share technical knowledge, assist in troubleshooting, and help raise the team’s competence level through structured on-the-job coaching and knowledge transfer.
- Collaborate with the existing Automation Engineer: jointly develop and implement automation solutions, share responsibilities within the team, and contribute to a continuous improvement culture.
- PLC programming: read, analyze, and rewrite existing automation programs to improve reliability and performance across our production systems.
- Drive automation projects: work within cross-functional teams, support the Product Owner of Automation.
- Conduct feasibility studies for new production processes and contribute to the transition from product development to serial production.
Requirements
- Degree in mechatronics, mechanical engineering, or automation technology; several years of relevant professional experience required.
- Experience working in collaborative, self-organizing teams; ability to share knowledge effectively and work across functional boundaries. Experience in a SCRUM or agile environment is a plus.
- Hands-on PLC programming experience; ability to read, analyze, and rewrite automation programs.
- Strong communicator and team player; comfortable working in international, cross-functional environments.
- Good IT skills; basic knowledge of a CAD tool (SolidWorks preferred) is an advantage.
- Experience with SAP is an advantage. Background in the automotive industry is a plus.
- Good command of English (written and spoken) is required for international collaboration.
